Description:

  We are seeking a creative and passionate Online AI Instructor who can introduce middle school students to the world of artificial intelligence through a hands-on, interactive approach. In this role, you will develop and teach an engaging curriculum that simplifies complex AI concepts and allows students to explore AI through practical, real-world projects. Despite being an online course, your lessons will emphasize active participation, experimentation, and the application of AI principles using accessible tools and resources.  

Responsibilities:

• Instruction: Lead online AI classes designed for middle school students, focusing on hands-on learning and practical applications of AI concepts.
• Curriculum Development: Work with our educational team to create a curriculum that breaks down AI concepts into manageable, age-appropriate lessons, incorporating activities and projects that students can complete at home.
• Interactive Learning: Utilize online teaching platforms to create an engaging and interactive virtual classroom environment where students can explore AI concepts through coding, simulations, and real-world examples.
• Hands-On Projects: Guide students through hands-on projects, such as creating simple AI models, developing basic algorithms, and experimenting with machine learning tools that demonstrate how AI works in everyday life.
• Real-World Applications: Teach students how AI is applied in various industries, from healthcare to entertainment, and encourage them to think critically about the ethical implications of AI.
• Feedback and Assessment: Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and tailor your teaching methods to meet the diverse learning needs of middle schoolers.
• Resource Development: Develop supplementary materials, including coding tutorials, project templates, and instructional videos, to support students' hands-on learning experience.
• Community Engagement: Foster a supportive online learning community where students feel encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and collaborate on AI projects.

Qualifications:

• Strong background in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a related field, with a focus on practical applications and hands-on learning.
• Experience in teaching or tutoring, particularly with middle school students, is preferred.
• Ability to explain complex AI concepts in a simplified, age-appropriate manner that middle schoolers can understand and apply.
• Familiarity with online teaching platforms, such as Zoom, Google Meet, or Microsoft Teams, and experience with coding languages or AI tools that are suitable for beginners.
• High-speed internet connectivity to ensure smooth and uninterrupted virtual instruction.
• Creativity and innovation in teaching methods, with a passion for making AI accessible and exciting for young learners.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a virtual classroom effectively.

Compensation:

This is a part-time contract opportunity. Current compensation does not include 401K, employee pension, health, vacation pay, sick pay, or other fringe benefits. 

Work Authorization:

Ability to work in the US without Visa sponsorship.
