Description:

    We are seeking passionate STEM undergraduate & graduate students to either host live sessions or create and record online video lessons for our YouTube channel. These lessons will align with the U.S. K-12 curriculum and focus on bringing real-world STEM concepts to life through engaging demonstrations and experiments.

We are looking for students who specialize in one or more of the following areas:

• Physics
• Chemistry
• Math
• Earth Science
• Robotics
• Artificial Intelligence (AI)
• Engineering
• CAD
• Programming
• Other STEM degrees

• If hosting live sessions: Each student will create curriculum on their chosen STEM topic.  Utilize Maker Mindz's online teaching platform to create an engaging and interactive virtual classroom environment where students can explore STEM topics.
• If recording videos: Each student will design and record hands-on, easy-to-understand lessons for videos that will help next generation of students connect classroom concepts to everyday life.

Responsibilities: 

• For live hosting & video recording: Develop lesson plans and demonstrations aligned with K–12 STEM curriculum standards.
• For videos: Record engaging YouTube-friendly educational videos with experiments &/or simulations. Delivery will include 1 video per week. This will be a total of 40-hour internship spread over 12 weeks. Video length ~ 10 minutes.
• Explain complex topics in a simple, fun, and interactive way suitable for middle and high school students.
• Collaborate with the Maker Mindz team to ensure consistency in style, format, and educational value.

Qualifications: 

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in the United States
• Background in STEM fields such as Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Math, Computer Science or other relevant STEM degrees.
• Prior experience teaching, tutoring, or creating educational content (preferred).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially on camera.
• Access to clear audio, and good video recording setup.
• A creative mindset and passion for hands-on, project-based teaching.

Compensation:

This is a part-time/project-based internship opportunity. Current compensation does not include 401K, employee pension, health, vacation pay, sick pay, or other fringe benefits. 

Criteria for Employment (video recording):
