Description:

 As the Engineer, STEM, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of STEM education. We are seeking a creative and hands-on individual with a passion for STEM and a knack for developing groundbreaking curriculum and tools. This part-time remote role offers flexibility and requires a visionary leader who can contribute to the design, build of new and modification of existing cutting-edge STEM tools and curriculum. The successful candidate will also work closely with our team to create product documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the creative process in designing innovative STEM tools that do not currently exist in the market.
• Engage hands-on in the design, build of new and modification of existing STEM tools, bringing concepts to reality. The STEM tools that will be designed will be sold commercially in the marketplace.
• Roll up your sleeves to get hands dirty in the prototyping and testing phases of tool development.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end process, from conceptualization to final product, ensuring quality and relevance.
• Besides product development, develop and design STEM curriculum for K-12 classrooms, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
• Modify existing curriculum to enhance engagement and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with educators, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to gather input and feedback.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to inform curriculum and tool development.
• Demonstrate out-of-the-box thinking to create unique learning experiences for students.
• Create and maintain product documentation, including assembly instructions and user manuals.

Qualifications:

• Strong background in STEM education, product development, curriculum development, or related fields.
• Skills in mechanical and electrical engineering for product development.
• Creative thinker with a track record of designing and bringing innovative tools to market.
• Hands-on experience in the design and build process of educational tools.
• Proven experience in developing and modifying K-12 STEM curriculum.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
• Passion for STEM education and a commitment to fostering curiosity in students.
• Flexible schedule with the ability to commit to part-time hours.

Compensation:

 This is a part-time role with compensation based on the development of STEM curriculum, including associated product development. Current compensation does not include 401K, employee pension, health, vacation pay, sick pay, or other fringe benefits. 

Work Authorization:

Ability to work in the US without Visa sponsorship.
