Position Title:  Strategic Funding and Sponsorships Leader

Description:

  As a  Strategic Funding and Corporate Sponsorships Leader, you will play a key role in securing funding and resources necessary to sustain and grow our programs. In this position, you will identify grant opportunities, prepare and submit grant applications, and pursue corporate sponsorships that align with our mission. Your efforts will directly contribute to our ability to reach more students, develop new programs, and continue our impact in STEM education. 

Responsibilities:

• Grant Research: Identify and research grant opportunities that align with our mission and programs, focusing on both public and private funding sources.
• Application Preparation: Collaborate with the executive team to prepare compelling grant applications, including drafting proposals, gathering supporting documentation, and ensuring that all requirements and deadlines are met.
• Corporate Sponsorships: Identify and pursue corporate sponsorship opportunities that can provide financial support, in-kind contributions, or other resources for our programs.
• Proposal Development: Develop and submit well-crafted proposals to potential corporate sponsors, clearly articulating the value of our programs and the benefits of partnership.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other board members and the executive team to align grant and sponsorship efforts with the organization’s strategic goals and fundraising plans.
• Progress Tracking: Keep track of application submissions, follow up on pending applications, and report outcomes to the board and executive team.
• Time Management: Efficiently manage your time to complete tasks within the 3-4 hours per month commitment, while ensuring the quality and accuracy of all applications and proposals.

Qualifications:

• Experience in grant writing, fundraising, business development, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive and impactful proposals.
• Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with the nonprofit sector, particularly in education or STEM, is a plus.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a remote team.
• Passion for STEM education and a commitment to our mission of making STEM accessible and engaging for all students.

Compensation: 

 This is a remote, commission-based role with compensation up to 10% of the total sponsorship amount secured. 

Work Authorization:

Ability to work in the US without Visa sponsorship.

Background Check:

Successful candidates for this position will be required to undergo a pre-employment background check. This background check may include but is not limited to verification of education, employment history, criminal records, professional licenses, and any other relevant checks deemed necessary for the role.
