Description:

We are seeking a talented and innovative AI Game Developer to create engaging and educational AI-related games for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for both game design and artificial intelligence, with the ability to translate AI concepts into interactive, fun, and educational experiences. This is a remote position where you will work closely with our STEM-focused nonprofit to develop AI-based games that foster learning in students K-12.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop educational games that focus on AI concepts and applications.
• Collaborate with our curriculum development team to ensure games align with STEM learning goals.
• Create engaging, fun, and interactive game mechanics to teach complex AI concepts in an approachable way.
• Prototype, test, and iterate on game designs to ensure quality and alignment with learning outcomes.
• Integrate AI elements (such as machine learning, neural networks, etc.) into game design where applicable.
• Develop storylines, challenges, and objectives that cater to middle and high school students.
• Continuously research advancements in AI and gaming to incorporate new ideas into future projects.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in game design, specifically in educational or AI-related games.
• Strong understanding of AI concepts and how they can be applied in game environments.
• Proficiency in game development software and tools (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine, etc.).
• Ability to design and create engaging user experiences with a focus on educational outcomes.
• Strong creative, storytelling, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work remotely and communicate effectively with a team.
• Passion for STEM education and a desire to make learning about AI fun and accessible.

Compensation:

This is a project-based contract role with flexible hours. Compensation will be based on experience and project scope.

Work Authorization:

Ability to work in the US without Visa sponsorship.
